TRIAX UK is a
leading supplier of complete terrestrial and satellite systems for
the reception and distribution of radio and TV signals. A member of
the TRIAX group, TRIAX UK is owned by
Nielsen & Nielsen Holding, an international group of 24 companies with more
than 2,000 employees and a turnover of exceeding 265 m€. The TRIAX
group has operations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France,
England, Germany and Saudi Arabia. They also have a far-reaching
production, distribution and partner network in the rest of Europe,
the Middle East, USA and Oceania. TRIAX UK supplies to the trade
throughout the UK and Europe with one of the UK's largest media
companies – BSkyB being a longstanding customer.

It was this approach to innovation and customer satisfaction that lead TRIAX to
choose Microsoft Dynamics AX. Key to this
decision was the requirement to deploy an integrated platform to
support all core business processes, providing complete visibility
across the organization and enabling faster decision making.
TRIAX turned to
Lakewood to manage the implementation from initial business
requirements through to system configuration, user training and
go–live. Lakewood’s consultants were responsible for the
implementation across two manufacturing plants, including the
manufacture of components and aerials for TV and radio reception and
distribution for both satellite and terrestrial divisions. Working
closely with the TRIAX management team Lakewood employed proven
methods and templates as defined in their implementation
methodology.
The TRIAX
Implementation was fully operational after only three months, during
which time the entire business administration was transferred from
the old legacy system to the new application. AxaptaŽ integrated
all of the TRIAX business procedures covering accounting,
invoicing, purchasing, sales order processing , inventory
management, MRP and production processes. Additionally, Lakewood’s
technicians were utilised to perform initial data loads where data
was extracted from the TRIAX legacy system into AxaptaŽ, vastly
reducing the amount of manual data entry required.
